Weird And Wonderful Experimentation Techniques

For these images I was experimenting with the bulb setting on my camera. I wanted to experiment with this technique to see if it is something that I would be interested in using in my project. To do this I had to use a black background and have the studio in complete darkness. I then manually flashed the flash and every time I did this Grace would move into another position. I really like the effect this technique has but at the moment I don't know where it will fit into my project.

Experimenting With Props

For this set of images I wanted to take some basic images of Grace with a few props. I wanted to incorporate the props into the images to see if they are something I am going to use later on in my work . It is something I may use with Grace in her costume to build on the persona of a 'Child at heart'.

 

Experimenting With The Background and Photoshop

For this image I wanted to experiment with a background making the image look old so that it links with the Tudor theme more clearly. For the background I used some furniture and the brickwall from my home. I then selected an image of Joanna in her Tudor costume and super imposed this imahe onto the picture of the background. The next stage was to create a layer on the image that looked old and worn

I then took an image of Joanna in her costume and super imposed this image onto the one the background. The next stage was to then make the image look old. I did this by adding various layers, changing the hue/saturation and adding some noise to the image. I have done all of this to emphasise the meaning of the picture-that Joanna likes to dress up in Tudor clothes in her spare time.
